Hiring Outcomes & Retention
How to verify hiring success and track long-term candidate retention on Sureshake.
Verified Hiring doesn't end with a signature. Sureshake enables organizations to verify the success of their hiring process by tracking long-term retention and performance checkpoints.
Why Track Outcomes?
Traditional hiring systems stop at the "Offer Accepted" stage. Sureshake extends this to provide:
- Verification of Hire: Cryptographic proof that a role was filled by a specific candidate.
- Execution Alignment: Automated resolution of hiring goals in your Execution Record.
- Quality Signal: Proof of 30, 90, and 180-day retention serves as a high-trust signal for your organization's health and recruitment accuracy.
Recording a Decision
Once the interview process is complete, recruiters record a formal outcome for the application.
Choose the appropriate status for the candidate:
hired: Offer accepted and start date confirmed.rejected: Candidate did not meet the rubric requirements.offer_declined: Role offered but candidate chose not to join.withdrawn: Candidate removed themselves from the process.
Provide context for the decision. For hired outcomes, this creates the baseline for future retention tracking.
The decision is timestamped and recorded in the immutable audit log.
Retention Checkpoints
For hired candidates, the platform automatically generates a retention schedule. This verifies that the hire was successful and the candidate has stayed with the company.
Standard Checkpoints
| Checkpoint | Purpose | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Day 30 | Onboarding Success | 30 days after hire |
| Day 90 | Cultural & Technical Fit | 90 days after hire |
| Day 180 | Sustained Impact | 180 days after hire |
Verifying a Checkpoint
At each milestone, an authorized team member marks the checkpoint as:
- Completed: Candidate is active and performing.
- Missed: Verification was not completed on time.
- Flagged: Performance issues or early concerns.
Integration with Execution Records
Hiring outcomes directly impact your organization's Execution Score.
If you have a goal in an Execution Cycle categorized as Hiring (e.g., "Hire 3 Backend Engineers"), the system can auto-resolve these goals when:
- A linked role is marked as Closed.
- The required number of applications are transitioned to Hired status.
For Candidates: Verified Career Proof
When a hire is verified on Sureshake, the candidate receives a Verified Hire Artifact in their profile. This provides them with immutable proof of their employment history, backed by the organization's own verified record.
