Understanding Directory Reference Profiles
What a reference profile is, the neutral status vocabulary, independent trust dimensions, and how sources and provenance appear on a public directory profile.
Many profiles in the Sureshake public directory are reference profiles: a public record that Sureshake assembles from cited public information. A reference profile is not created or managed by the organization it describes — and the profile says so explicitly.
A reference profile is useful before it is claimed. Its status labels describe what Sureshake has or has not verified — they are never a judgment of the listed organization.
Status vocabulary
Directory profiles use a small, neutral vocabulary. You will see these labels on the profile header and in the trust panel:

| Identity not yet verified by Sureshake | Sureshake has not verified who controls this profile. |
| Archived record | A neutral historical state — the listing is retained for the record. |
The trust panel: independent dimensions
The Profile Trust and Provenance panel shows several independent dimensions. Each dimension states its own object and method — there is deliberately no composite trust score, because a single number would hide scope and encourage treating incomparable evidence as fungible.

What a timestamp does — and does not — prove
When a profile has timestamped filings, the panel includes this note:
Timestamped filings are unchanged since filing. A timestamp proves integrity and timing, not that contents are correct.
This caveat is intentional. A timestamp proves the filed artifact has not changed since it was filed. It does not prove the contents are accurate, audited, or "fully verified" — those are separate dimensions with their own evidence.
Sources and provenance
Reference profiles show where their facts come from:
- The Sources panel lists the cited sources behind the public record — for example "Official website", "Team page", "About page", "SEC filing", "Investor relations", or "Public web research" — with a link when a safe public URL is available.
- Individual facts carry field-level provenance lines in the form
"Source: {source} · Checked {date}" (for example,
Location — Source: Official website · Checked Jul 18, 2026). - Each source and field also states who supplied it: Sureshake research or Provided by the organization.
Provenance is factual, never promotional: it tells you where a fact came from and when it was last checked, so you can weigh it yourself.
"No Sureshake filings yet"
When a profile shows No Sureshake filings yet, it means exactly that: the organization (or person) has not filed a report through Sureshake. For an organization, the empty state reads:
This organization has not filed a report through Sureshake. Public reference information above comes from cited sources.
Filings may include investment criteria, fund overviews, performance reports, portfolio updates, credit packages, or diligence materials.
Having no Sureshake filings is not a negative signal — most reference profiles start this way. It is distinct from a temporary loading failure: if Sureshake cannot load filing and access status, the profile instead shows "Reporting status temporarily unavailable" rather than misleading zeros.
Public record facts
The at-a-glance record on a profile uses the same neutral vocabulary:
- Listed — when the profile was published to the directory.
- Filed reports and Filing record since — the Sureshake filing record.
- Followers — follower count.
- Permissioned packages — "Approval required" when the owner has configured permissioned content, otherwise "Not configured".
- Profile history — the published profile version (for example, "Version 3").
- Not disclosed — used for a business value the organization has not shared. It is never replaced with a guess.
