Follow this path to set up your company, draft your first report from your books, and share it. Onboarding has four steps: Profile, Company, Connect ledger and First report.
Your progress saves as you go, so you can leave and come back to onboarding at any time.
Create your account
See Create your account. If you arrived from a shared report or an invitation, you can open that first and start onboarding later.
Tell us about you
Enter your Full name, Work email and Role, and choose your Relationship to the company: Founder, Finance lead, Employee, Advisor or Other. Choose Continue.
Your account is yours, not your company’s. You can operate one workspace and review another.
Add your company
Fill in the six fields: Legal company name, Website, Industry (SIC code), Company size (employees), the headquarters location (HQ city, State / region, Country) and Description.
Then choose Accept and create company. See Set up your company for the options on this screen.
Connect your ledger
Choose Connect accounting to connect QuickBooks or NetSuite, so your first report is drafted from your books. While the first sync runs you’ll see Syncing your books. It usually takes a few minutes, and you can leave the page.
This step is optional. Choose Skip for now to report from uploaded statements and connect a ledger later.
Start your first report
Choose Start first report to open Reporter, or Choose report profile to decide what the report covers first. Preparing a report takes about four minutes and it stays a draft until you publish it. See Publish reports.
Publish and share
Review the report, publish it, then share it with the people who need it. Each share can be revoked. See Share reports.
Then repeat. A track record is the same reporting done period after period, with each report dated when you published it.
If you don’t have a company
Choose I don’t have a company on the company step. You can still open reports shared with you and browse the directory, and you can add a company later from your dashboard.
If your company is already in the directory
You can claim the existing profile instead of creating a new one. See Claim your profile.
If you start creating a company that looks like an existing one, you’ll see a Possible duplicate notice. Continue if yours is a different business.
What your company’s on-chain identity shows
Your first publish requests an on-chain identity for your company, and the company signs its reports with it once it’s registered. It shows which company published a report and when. It doesn’t show that the figures are correct. If registration fails, the report still publishes. See How proof works.
