A reference profile is a record Sureshake assembles from cited public sources. The organization didn’t write it and doesn’t manage it, and nothing on it is presented as the organization’s own statement.
Being a reference profile says nothing against the organization. Most organizations start this way.
Check where a fact came from
Open the Company actions menu (the ⋮ button beside the company name) and choose Sources. The Sources and verification panel has two parts.
Verification answers separate questions, one row each. There’s no combined score.
| Row | What it can say |
|---|---|
| Profile control | Not managed by the organization, Management claim under review, Managed; identity verification not completed, or Identity verified by Sureshake |
| Reference sources | How many sources are cited, and when they were last checked |
| Filing integrity | How many filings are timestamped |
| Confirmed relationships | How many relationships are confirmed through Sureshake |
Rows with nothing to report are left out. A missing Confirmed relationships row means none are confirmed through Sureshake. It doesn’t mean the organization has no relationships.
Sources lists the sources behind the record, with a link where a public URL is available. If there are none, you’ll see No cited public sources yet.
A citation shows where a fact came from. It doesn’t verify who controls the profile or that the fact is still correct, so check the date.
Other labels you may see
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Claim under review | Someone has asked to manage the profile. The reference record stays visible during the review. |
| Material fact under review | A fact on the record is being reviewed. |
| Archived | The profile is kept as a historical public record. |
What you can do
- You represent the organization. Claim your profile.
- A fact is wrong. Suggest a correction.
- You want private material. Reference profiles don’t offer access requests, because nobody manages the profile yet.
