Use watchlists to group companies you want to keep an eye on. Each list is tied to your account, and companies aren’t told they’re on it. A watchlist is a set of shortcuts: to get updates from a company, follow it as well.
Add a company
Open the company's page
Open the Company actions menu (the ⋮ button beside the company name) and choose Watchlist. If you aren’t signed in, you’ll be asked to.
Choose a list
Check the box next to a watchlist to add the company. Uncheck it to remove the company.
Or create a list
Type a name in New watchlist name and choose the plus button. The list is created with this company in it.
A company can be on several lists at once. The star in the menu is filled when the company is on at least one of yours.
Manage your lists
Go to Watchlists. The page shows how many watchlists you have and how many companies you’re tracking.
| To do this | Do this |
|---|---|
| Create an empty list | Choose New watchlist, enter a name, and confirm. |
| See what’s in a list | Select its row. It expands in place, with any ticker shown beside the company name. |
| Open a company | Select its name in the expanded list. |
| Remove a company | Open the actions menu on its row and choose Remove from watchlist. |
| Rename a list | Open the actions menu on the list’s row and choose Rename. |
| Delete a list | Open the actions menu on the list’s row and choose Delete watchlist. |
If you see Save startup instead
If a company has a published startup profile, the Company actions menu shows Save startup and Watchlists instead of Watchlist. These are private investor watchlists, which are separate from the lists on the Watchlists page.
Using them requires a verified capital-provider profile. Otherwise the action reads Verified investor only.
- A startup can be in one private investor watchlist at a time. Move it from the same dialog, or choose Remove from watchlist.
- You manage these lists from a company’s page. They don’t appear on the Watchlists page.
- The startup isn’t notified.
- They can create alerts in your Action Center. The lists on the Watchlists page don’t.
