A Sureshake company page tells you what is on record and where it came from. It doesn’t tell you that a company’s figures are true. Use this page to decide how much weight to give what you read.
To understand what a timestamp or attestation does and doesn’t prove, see How proof works.
Start with who controls the page
Open the Company actions menu (the ⋮ button beside the company name) and choose Disclosure Level.
| Level | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Reference profile | Assembled from cited public sources. The company hasn’t said any of it. |
| Managed profile | The company controls the page. Its figures are its own until a period is filed. |
| Managed · public filings | The company has public statement packages filed through Reporter. |
| Public reference | Based on SEC filings. This doesn’t mean the company manages the page. |
A managed profile may also say how its financials are sourced:
- Sureshake verified means financials are attested from a connected accounting system.
- Verification lapsed means the accounting connection is no longer current. The panel gives the last verified date.
- Otherwise, financial figures are asserted until an accounting source is connected and a period is verified.
See Disclosure levels for the full list.
Check the sources
In the same menu, choose Sources to open Sources and verification.
| Row | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Profile control | Whether the organization manages the page, and whether its identity is verified. |
| Reference sources | How many sources are cited, and when they were last checked. |
| Filing integrity | How many of the company’s filings are timestamped. |
| Confirmed relationships | How many relationships have been confirmed through Sureshake. |
A row that doesn’t apply isn’t shown. If there’s no Confirmed relationships row, it means none are confirmed through Sureshake, not that the company has no relationships.
Read the figures by their label
Figures on a company page carry a label saying what kind of number they are.
| Label | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|
| Source verified | A regulator, a market data provider, or a verified source |
| Asserted or reported | The company itself, including its Sureshake reports |
| Sureshake computed | Calculated by Sureshake from other figures |
Work through the tabs
A company shows only the tabs it has something to put in, so you won’t see all of these.
| Tab | What to use it for |
|---|---|
| Overview | A summary and the most relevant available facts |
| Financials | Public financials, or permissioned ones if you’ve been given access |
| Earnings & filings | Earnings history, public filings, or permissioned reports |
| Health, Charts, Compare | Financial health signals, trends, and peer comparisons |
| Models | Financial models with assumptions you can edit |
| Funding & news | Funding rounds and sourced news, where coverage is available |
| People | Leadership and team members |
| Investors, Portfolio, Capital graph | Capital relationships. See Capital Graph |
| Reports, Publications | What the company has filed or published that you can read |
| Delivery record | Attested delivery history, if the company has granted you access |
A tab marked Locked is permissioned. The protected values aren’t sent to your browser. See Follow companies and request access.
Models
The Models tab opens prebuilt financial models. A model’s output follows from the assumptions in it, so check those before you rely on a result. It isn’t a Sureshake forecast. See Financial models for how they work.
Delivery record
If you can open it, this tab shows statements of work delivered, criteria accepted, first-pass acceptance, milestones on time, and client retention. The figures use only events anchored on a public blockchain, and client names are never shown. Early records are flagged, and rates mean more as more work is accepted.
Reputation
Some pages show a reputation grade under the description. See Reputation for how it’s calculated.
Read reports shared with you
Reports a company has shared with you are in Shared with Me. Those you can read also appear on the company’s Reports tab, marked Shared with you.
To check that a report hasn’t changed since it was anchored, see Verify an attestation. That check covers the integrity and timing of the report, not whether its contents are correct.
Look for execution evidence
A company’s execution record isn’t a tab on its public page. What you can see is the evidence the founder has chosen to make public. Verified capital providers can search it from the Startups tab of the directory, by season, initiative, outcome, report, or artifact.
Compare companies
Choose Compare in the Company actions menu, or select at least two companies in the directory and choose Compare selected.
Questions to ask before you rely on a figure
- Who supplied it: the company, a regulator, or Sureshake?
- Is the page managed, and is the company’s identity verified?
- Is the accounting connection current, or has verification lapsed?
- Is the period filed and timestamped, and how recent is it?
- What isn’t here? Anything missing may be permissioned or simply not reported. Absence alone tells you neither.
